Learning a New Language

The amount of time it will take you to learn a new language using Rosetta Stone is totally up to you, the learner! Language learning is a dynamic and on-going process and will depend on how much time you choose to dedicate to your journey. On average, it takes approximately:

  • 120 - 150 hours to complete the content in Levels 1-3.
  • 200+ hours to complete Levels 1 - 5.

Keep in mind, you can spend as much time as you'd like in Language Training as well as in Extended Learning activities like Stories, Phrasebook, Seek & Speak, and more.  Many of our most successful learners retain what they've learned by repeating lessons and routinely using Extended Learning. Nothing makes a lesson stick with you better than speaking with an actual person, so be sure to take advantage of real-time practice sessions with a native speaker in Live Tutoring. The more you practice, the sharper your language abilities will be!
